A Beacon Through the Storm

Cover image for A Beacon Through the Storm

_In the quiet of my room, I pen this note to you,
Across the miles that divide, my thoughts incessantly fly,
To where you stand, amid tempests, not of nature's doing, But of life's intricate dance, challenging, yet imbuing.

Your smile, a memory that warms my coldest nights,
Your laughter, a melody that sets my heart alight,
Yet, I know, beneath the surface, trials weigh you down,
In this season of your life, where smiles feel like frowns.

This distance, a cruel thief, takes away my reach,
Leaving words as the only bridge, through this poem, I beseech,
Hold onto what we share, let it be your guiding light,
A beacon through the storm, making your burdens slight.

Valentine's may find us apart, in space, not in heart,
I am an unwavering flame, a promise, never to part.
Through this rough patch, know, you're not alone to fight,
For in your darkest hour, I'll be your knight, your light.

So, here's my Valentine's wish, sent with a kiss through time,
A reminder of strength, love, and hope, in this simple rhyme.
Until we meet again, keep your spirit brave and bright,
For together, in heart, we'll make it through this night._
